The time has come for the next gamerscore challenge. For the second half of March, there will be a challenge. 14 days of Gamerscore mayhem.
:sniper: ________________________________________ :mblo:

Once again, start hoarding your achievement boosting games, and prepare say good bye to your loved ones, the last contest saw additions of 2.5k, and surely those who scored that high have run out of games to get quick achievements from.
:hmmm:

Sign up to 360 Voice (if you don't already have an account) then sign up to the Challenge here.
8-)

Sign up closes when I hit the start button on the night of the 17th of March. This will start approx 3pm on the 18th of March. Don't miss it!
:grrr:

We don't want you to stop or hold off playing for the comp. It is purely for bragging rights.

Also, if you have some mates who are WAXLAN members, tell them about it.

We are doing this as a fun thing with bragging rights for WAXLAN members.

I would hate to think that we had people joining WAXLAN just to shark bragging rights from people who are legitimately interested in what WAXLAN have to offer.

I have Live friends who are based over east and would love to include them, but realistically WAXLAN is only partly my creation and I stick to what it was created for. A place for West Aussies to LAN and game on Live with minimal lag.

See below for some of the connection reasons WAXLAN was founded.

Rant:
WA is on the opposite side of the country, so though we may play with fellow Aussies, their connection usually is better for a couple of reasons:
i) The eastern states already have a higher number of Live gamers with which they can commune and experience lag free gaming much more easily.
ii) The eastern states gamers are closer to the international internet connections, and hence are more likely to receive host when competing against international gamers.
iii) Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne etc all have better connections with NZ than they do with WA.
iv) When most of us older gamers (i.e. the staff) get to play, it is usually 11pm or later over east.
v) Telstra sucks. They don't consider the WA telephone infrastructure a high priority. Setting up RIMs in exchanges as opposed to a proper telephone exchange and limiting the number of suitable lines between east & west.
