This is the sign up thread for the Halo 3 League.

Please read the below conditions, these are to ensure fair gaming.

Rounds
• Rounds will be played once a week.
• The game types and matches will be placed into my Bungie share in the first 6 slots.
• Home team captains will be responsible for making sure they have downloaded these gametypes before the the matches take place (if your team is listed first on the fixture, you are the home team).
• Each round will consist of 3 matches played in this order: Slayer - CTF/Assault - Other.
• All matches will be based upon Bungie gametypes, or existing matchtypes in use at our LANs.
• Both team Captains will be responsible for submitting the results to me after each round.
• All matches are to be played 4v4 (I have allowed 5 players per team to allow for subs)
• No substituting players between matches in a round.
• If you are unable to field a full team, you have the option to forfeit, though you will receive no points for that round. Your opponent will receive 80% of total points for the round (or closest whole point without going over).
• Matches can be organised by team captains to be played from Friday night. If no agreed time/date can be organised, the matches will be played 9pm Tuesday night (You may find it easier just to organise to play every Tuesday at 9pm).
• All matches must be completed and submitted to me on the WAXLAN forums by midnight Tuesday. Any matches not submitted will be considered a forfeit.

Scoring
Scoring will use the same system applied to LANs. To clarify, I have listed it below.
Slayer
The most the winning team can earn is 10 points. The most the losing team can earn is 8 points. 1 point per 5 kills in a 50 kills match. The losing team can not earn 9 points as we want an bigger buffer between winning and losing.
CTF/Assault
The most a winning team can score is 10 points. The most the losing team can score is 7 points. These are usually set up to be first to score 3 or 3 rounds of defence and 3 rounds of offence. It is quite simple. 3 points per flag. If the winning team wins 3-0, they are awarded a bonus point. If the losing team loses 3-2 they are awarded the bonus point.
Territories
The most a winning team can score is 10. The most a losing team can score is 9. This is played as 2 rounds of defence and 2 rounds of offence. Each territory captured is worth 1 point. In this gametype we allow the 9th point for the losing team as every territory taken is usually earned.
King of the Hill/Oddball
The most a winning team can score is 10. The most the losing team can score is 8. Time based objective games are 1 point for every 10% of the total time required. The losing team can not earn 9 points as we want an bigger buffer between winning and losing.
New: Griffball
The most a winning team can score is 10. The most a losing team can score is 4. This is simple, 5 rounds, 2 points per bomb score.
New: Conquest
The most a winning team can score is 10. The most a losing team can score is 5. 1 point for every 2 territories in the total score at the end of the match. In the case of the final score being 11-10, the winning team is awarded an additional point. Theoretically a score of 10 is possible, but extremely unlikely.

• Teams must consist of West Aussies, as some rounds will be played at LANs.
• If you are not in a team, please post here that you are looking for a team, looking to create a team, or looking to fill a spot on a team.
• Captains are responsible for the organisation of their teams.
• Captains only, please sign up your team in the following manner:
Team Name
Captain (c)
Player
Player
Player
Player

Final decisions
As I am also competing in the league, any time a decision I make comes into dispute, I will allow a vote by the team captains. This vote is in the interest of me being fair. Ultimately I have the final say, but I don't like people to think I am being unjust. I believe in fair matches and will encourage good sportsmanship.

I'm guessing matches will be played during the week. No can do if that's the case.

I don't think the matches should have to be played at a set time or set night. I think the two teams who are scheduled to meet next should discuss between each other their available times. I'm sure everything can be worked out with a bit of communication.

I also think listing 4 players plus a couple of pre-nominated subs would be a good idea. If a a team can't get 4 players or find a suitable time to play the required matches then they forfeit I guess.

I have already covered all of your points discussed so far in the first post as these are all lessons I learned from the previous League I ran.

Farreg wrote:

To clarify; the format for listing your players is 1 (captain) + 4 (team members) = 5.

To clarify; any time from Friday night through to Tuesday night can be used to schedule matches. The reason I have also included a set time is because if the 2 captains can not organise a match between themselves, as 8 people can be hard to organise, there is a fall back time which they will have to play the match.

I don't mind input to make this run better, but please all of your current issues are covered in the first post.

Cancelled due to lack of interest.

Will consider running a league with Reach.
