I got banned today.... Here is the reason....

The following content for the gamertag associated with this Windows Live ID was brought to our attention and was determined to have violated the Code of Conduct and/or Terms of Use:

Your kidding me... a one day ban for that...

Someone filed a complaint against you. They found something. End result is a ban.

You have to tread carefully on the internet these days.

The reason is that you have the word bitch in there.

I've been reading the ban forums over xmas, they were very funny to be honest.

They're getting very serious about banning things that are even the smallest infraction.

People that have had their G/Ts for years are now getting banned, when you sign the T&C for live you sign up for this as well i'm afraid. They say it's because the dashboard etc is marketed as E for Everyone so any little thing that's offensive will be removed. It does get very petty though.

thats pathetic...looks like some ppl have to much time, ive seen much worse but hey if they are cracking down...easy fix dont post crap like that, not worth it

Yeah you should read some of the crap that they're banning people for it's getting silly.

You can asterisk out most of the word and still be banned because the implication is there.

You're right in that best option is if in doubt don't put it. On a side note, a Major Nelson where i'm from is slang for an erection. I'm trying to find a link to post to MS and see if they'll get him to change his gamertag!!
