Not saying we shouldn't do it at the LAN again, but defiantly think on which teams we do, do it on next time around.
Your final comment concerns me. The point I tried to make is when playing an "Objective" match finish the objective regardless of the team you're playing. The "lock-down" is only appropriate in a slayer match or to "aid" scoring an objective. Deliberately NOT scoring the objective was everyones main problem with what you guys did. Being beaten by a better team isn't a problem for most lesser teams but having the match prolonged into a very disrespectful massacre is definitely a problem. I don't have a problem if you do it to teams online... good for you guys - bit different when you're in customs with other good players or match making at an appropriate skill level. Remember the game objective and consider other LAN attendees enjoyment and you won't need to approach teams to apologise afterwards.
In both of the examples I gave - I did so because I was annoyed and pissed off on the behalf of those two "not pro mindset" teams. I feel very bad for other teams when they are having such an unenjoyable series of games at an event they "Paid" to attend. Bec and I were mainly put off by that fact... some guys "fun" was pissing off people who'd taken the trouble to attend.
Basically I think people shouldn't prolong a LAN match for stat padding.

I enjoyed speaking to Bec and your son was easily the most entertaining player in the venue.
...I would have played on your team but there wasn't time after the movies
Declan had fun except for that one match where they were being spawn killed constantly. His contact time with games at home is very brief but he picks things up quickly... which is why I was so concerned after hearing from Bec that she'd witnessed him being tea bagged and spawn killed in that match. I don't want him seeing that and thinking I'm ok with that or that's how everyone plays the game.
If there were a dramatic format change and it was still Halo 3 Bec and I would possibly consider attending another social/semi competitive LAN sure. But the current team entry scenario is obviously working against the wants of both pro players and social players. Having dedicated serious competition LANs and social LANs is probably the best solution. Different formats required. Agreed with Dan on that.

I dont find a game fun if we just win in 2 mintues by just capping the flag or bomb.
Though I didn't have a problem in any of my matches.... I think people in those two teams being massacred (and humiliated in one of those matches - as we all know that's what T-Bagging's ultimate intent is) by an elite team don't have fun in a prolonged match. This can't be allowed to continue because instead of increasing attendance at future LANs that kind of performance will drive people away. A bit of concern for your opponents isn't a bad thing. Also if the two top teams had of finished their games quickly they could have had time for a match between each other while the other teams were finishing. That would have saved aggravation and people having to sit through a pointless massacre for other guys stats.
