Bungle is putting head to head at a "big" LAN. (jokin Nema)

Get as many people as you can and then take a 16 player systemlink game and play 1v1 duel for 3.5hrs . Thats the kind of no effort Halo tourney I'd expect to see at a in-store event with minimal supervision / organization and players just play on pre-setup xboxes and TVs (not BYO).

Speaking purely as a Halo fan - 1v1 has seriously got to be the least attractive option for a decent Halo tourney.

ah see its a personal pref of a good amt of pxlanners. otherwise is wouldnt be held asd we only play games and modes we like

Fair enough. You gotta cater to your attendees first n foremost.

Our LANs are usually team oriented playlists - taking full advantage of the number of attendees and the network. Fully inclusive round robin style matchmaking seems to work best. Allows for friendly team competition and teams are a good way for players to get to know each other - especially if teams are arranged on the spot.

Tracking the teams playing each other and results / tables is obviously a little more challenging but ultimately = fun. Our points allocation system was derived over many years from trial and error. Would probably be very difficult or impossible for PXLan to put on something similar seeing as there are so many different games scheduled to be played within one 12 hr LAN.

pxlan do do LANs like that with focus on 1 game lke you guys seemt o do. every month cept for the big one. less ppl come coz not everybody has every game but

It was started as an April Fools joke early this year but has grown rappidly. We are trying to incorporate BUNGLE gametypes into matchmaking, possibly in the Action Sack hopper if we are unlucky with an individual playlist.
